MFA celebration to honor Emily Deschanel to take place in Hollywood Hills June 2

To honor the accomplishments of Mercy For Animals (MFA) and Bones star and animal activist, Emily Deschanel, a special celebration will take place in Hollywood on June 2. Hosted by James Costa at his private residence in the Hollywood Hills, the event will feature vegan hors d'oeuvres, desserts, wine and spirits.

The event will celebrate MFA’s devotion to providing a voice for farm animals and the improvements they have made, as well as the changes the organization will continue to make to increase animal protection laws in the future.

MFA has worked landmark criminal and civil prosecutions of factory farms, as well as the defeat of whistleblower-suppression bills.

Vegan actress Emily Deschanel has served as the national spokesperson for Farm Sanctuary's Walk for Farm Animals, endorsed In Defense of Animal's World Go Vegan Week and fought for the return of 14 research chimpanzees to their sanctuary home in New Mexico -- to name just a few of her efforts.
