Khloe Kardashian ends relationship with PETA after sister is flour bombed

After sister Kim Kardashian was flour-bombed by an anti-fur activist associated with PETA for wearing fur at a charity event, Khloe Kardashian discontinued her support for PETA.  As billboard queen for PETA's anti-fur campaign, Khloe Kardashian is disappointed in what she refers to as PETA's support of bullying and violence.

Regarding the issue Khloe says, "We all need to practice what we preach.  I will still continue to NOT wear fur, but I will no longer support PETA.  Bullying and harassment is NEVER a solution, and I won't be a part of any organization that thinks otherwise." Read her full statement here.

Unfortunately, the more radical activist behavior often associated with organizations like PETA can hurt the cause and turn people away altogether.  Compassion is a major component of the vegetarian/vegan lifestyle and should be embraced not just for animals, but people too.  This is one of the most important things to keep in mind when participating in activism.  After all, very few of us were vegetarian from day one -- no matter how noble the cause, aggression and bullying goes against our beliefs and won't help our case.

Though PETA is losing such an iconic representative, it is commendable that Khloe Kardashian will stand up for her belief in compassion for all.
