Country singer Carrie Underwood now '95-percent vegan'

Country superstar Carrie Underwood is making strides to become a vegan.

The American Idol contestant adopted a vegetarian diet seven years ago after learning about the health benefits of a meat-free lifestyle.

In an interview with Self magazine, Underwood said she considered cutting all animal products out of her diet after seeing “a friend who looked amazing” after going vegan.

As if she needs to look any better, right?

Currently, Underwood claims she’s 95-percent vegan. The Grammy winner admits she would consider eating dairy again if she could run her own farm, complete with cows and chickens.

“The food would taste better, because the animals would be happy,” said Underwood.
