Three flavors of fun: WayFare Vegan Pudding comes to the rescue

For a few months, I felt like I was searching to the end of the Earth and back for a quality vegan pudding. After a few culinary mishaps and learning it is more than a little difficult to make delicious vegan pudding in my own kitchen, I was on the hunt for one that was pre-made.

I was lucky enough to find exactly what I was looking for, with WayFare Foods pudding -- namely the Butterscotch Pudding. While it is also in two other flavors, vanilla and chocolate, the neatest part about it is really the ingredients list.

For starters, the non-dairy pudding base is made with oats. Oddly enough, the base also has lima beans in it. I’m not normally an advocate of the lima bean, but it does so well to make pudding. Shhh…no one will ever know.

All three pudding varieties are also certified gluten-free and soy-free, with no cholesterol, making them appealing to many different dietary requirements.

You know a cup of hot oatmeal can be so delicious on a winter morning? WayFare Butterscotch pudding is totally tasty in a chilled cup on a warm spring afternoon. You could also combine it with pie crust and make a classical favorite, like butterscotch pudding pie.
