Betty White to celebrate 90th birthday with her four legged companion

America's golden girl, Betty White, is turning 90 years old on January 17. This past Sunday, White taped a NBC TV special, Betty White's 90th Birthday: A Tribute to America's Golden Girl, which will air on January 16th at 8pm ET.

What are Betty's big plans for the day of her birthday? "I'm going to sit at home with my golden retriever Pontiac," she told PeoplePets, "Usually I'll try to play catch-up with all the things I never will catch up on. I may just do crossword puzzles and indulge myself and have a wonderful time with my dog."

Betty White is not only well known for her comedy, but for her love of animals and the charity work she has done in the name of animal welfare. Betty is a personal role model of mine, and I hope you will join me in wishing her a happy birthday and many more to come!
