Apparently, there is a very good reason to keep drinking your morning cup of joe.
In a recent survey conducted by Don Francisco's Coffee, surveyees were asked to rate their level of inspiration on a scale of 0-100. Of the more than 1000 Americans surveyed, the ones that claimed to feel most inspired also noted their coffee break as one of their most inspiring activities.
In addition, 40 percent of those surveyed claimed they would abstain from alcohol, chocolate, and movie-going just to keep their coffee.
Vice president of marketing at F. Gavina & Sons, Inc. Leonor Gavina-Valls, says the survey results simply reflect the values and atmosphere of the family-owned company. "At Don Francisco's Coffee, we, too, take great inspiration from our enduring family legacy and the customers we have served for generations. With this survey, we hope to gain better insight into what motivates and inspires Americans, and in doing so, continue to evolve our brand so that it always represents those ideals."
The survey found that immediate family (mothers and daughters, especially) led the group of most inspiring people at 88%. Teachers, celebrities, professional athletes and politicians followed far behind.
This so-called "Inspiration Index" was created by Don Francisco's Coffee and the survey was conducted from April 15-19, 2011.
