Cops shoot at cement alligator in Independence, Missouri

Three police officers in Independence, Missouri either need to lay off the Krispy Kreme doughnuts or give up the wacky weed.

The trio took potshots at an alligator last week when they spied the creature lazing about in Rick Sheridan’s backyard. Sheridan was in his garage working when he heard a barrage of shots outside and then spied the officers lined up on the bank of his backyard pond with their guns drawn.

Unfortunately, the alligator was a cement lawn ornament. Not that there are many large reptile sightings in Missouri anyhow but Sheridan says he will patch up his “yard art” and hope for the best.
