Steve-O outraged by menu featuring meat at charity event

As originally reported by TMZ, Steve-O of Jackass fame stormed out of a go-kart charity event for the American Diabetes Association. Apparently Steve-O was under the impression that the event would be promoting a plant based diet as a way to combat diabetes. After discovering that meat was on the menu for lunch, Steve-O was outraged and decided to leave the event. Steve-O explained his reaction, claiming "It's like serving alcohol at an AA meeting."

I don't normally report on celebrities, but Steve-O has really won me over and I applaud him for standing up for what he believes in. By doing this, showing up to protests against the circus, being in ads against fur and dissection, Steve-O has shown that he is not just vegan in diet, but in lifestyle. I hope Steve-O continues on fighting for veganism as he is someone who can reach the youth audience and that is where change needs to start.
