Woman charged after mutilating cat to create costume for Lady Gaga concert

A 20-year-old woman from Oklahoma was recently charged with animal cruelty for mutilating her family’s cat in order to create a costume to wear to a Lady Gaga concert she was attending.

The tabby cat was brutally slaughtered so that the disturbed woman, Angela Barnes, could wear the feline’s blood to imitate body makeup that Gaga wore at MTV’s Video Music Awards in 2009.

Barnes was reportedly found with fur draped around her own body and covered in the cat’s blood. The 15-year-old cat was discovered drowned in a bathtub.

According to the local news station KFOR, "Investigators found purple hair dye and blood all over the bathroom along with the cat that had been drowned; sliced down the belly, eyes mutilated, the cat's liver was found in a makeup case on counter."
