Americans overwhelmingly want President Obama to strengthen ban on whaling

It’s difficult to get people to unanimously agree on just about anything especially when that ‘thing’ has political ramifications. So when you take a look at the results from a recent Greenpeace poll regarding American’s attitudes towards whaling the numbers might surprise you.

An overwhelming majority of Americans, 83%, believe President Obama “should stand by his campaign pledge to strengthen the international ban on commercial whaling.”

Additionally only 7% of those surveyed want the President to back efforts in lifting the ban on whaling in Japan—it appears somehow the Japanese whaling fleet found a way to answer 7% of the calls.

Further investigation also reveals the region in which respondents live had very little bearing on the answers they provided.

Yes that means most of us can agree, whaling sucks.
