Steve Wynn's vegan decision based on health and animal rights

A positive trend has been materializing over the past year. First Iron Mike Tyson, then President Bill Clinton, and now Steve Wynn, all turning to a vegan diet. Steve Wynn going a step further has made an announcement that all restaurants within his Las Vegas Wynn Resorts will be required to offer vegan options. He provided his executives, chefs, and employees a book and DVD on the subject.

Interviewed by Robin Leach in Las Vegas Weekly Wynn said, “I’ve actually lost 15 pounds since I’ve gone vegan." Wynn's love interest, Andrea Hissom, is also on board with the billionaire businessmen's new plant based diet.

“It’s very simple,” Wynn continued.“I’m killing two birds at once, so to speak. Animal-based food kills people. This way by going vegan … we get healthy and save animals."

He concluded: “I just wish I’d come to all of this earlier in my life instead of later. Who knows how much it would have changed everything?”

The last quote is what is so very important about this story, people understanding the health benefits and the animal rights issues when they are young. With well known people moving to a vegan diet it can only raise awareness globally. Understanding that you have a choice in life whether young or old is a great freedom to experience.
