Ellen DeGeneres selling ‘Laugh.Dance.Rescue’ t-shirt to benefit HSUS

Comedienne, talk show host and vegan Ellen DeGeneres is marketing a new t-shirt through her ellenshop.com website that will benefit the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS).

According to the site:
Animal lovers and Ellen fans, make a statement to help save defenseless animals from pain and suffering with this "Laugh. Dance. Rescue." Ellen t-shirt. This classic white v-neck t-shirt features an off-center purple print with the 3 words sprinkled within the outlined image of a puppy. The shirt is made of 100% pre-washed cotton jersey for a super soft look and fee.
DeGeneres is an adamant animal advocate earning accolades such as the Gretchen Wyler Award that she won along with Portia de Rossi at the 2009 Genesis Awards, and the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine’s (PCRM) Voice of Compassion Award earlier this year.

Needless to say, with her unwavering support for the voiceless victims of animal abuse and exploitation, America's favorite funny woman will continue to receive much deserved recognition.

Fantastic work Ellen!

The “Laugh.Dance.Rescue” v-neck is offered for $20.00 with a portion of the proceeds going to the HSUS and the organization’s shelter support services.

  3. Too Bad that Ellen hasn't done her homework regarding how HSUS really uses donations. Less than 1 Percent is given to the hands-on shelters that actually CARE FOR ANIMALS. HSUS is a Vegan org. that doesn't run a single animal shelter.

  4. I bet that ZERO of the money from that shirt actually goes to helping shelter animals. They are an extremist group thats main focus is NOT rescuing animals, but changing laws concerning dog breeding. HSUS does not run 1 shelter. Ellen should really look in to the things she supports. No one is "against helping shelter dogs", but there are rescues out there that do a lot better job at it than HSUS. BOOO.

  5. Ellen should not be helping the H$U$. They are a bad animal rights group (not animal welfare)that is scamming money from innocent people, who have not done their research. Ellen should give money directly to local animal shelters. They do the real work. HSUS does not give local shelters any money. Go ask your local shelter. When you have some time, do your homework on how bad the HSUS really is.

  6. Now if Ellen would put just as much effot into saving defenseless babies who are senselessly slaughtered day after day year after year this would make a big difference in their lives too!!! Just imagine the huge outcry there would be amoung people like Ellen if this were reversed, and baby puppies were being brutally murdered, and ripped from the Mama dogs wombs!!! What horrible abuse that would be considered in their eyes!! WHY OH WHY ISN'T IT CONSIDERED HORRIBLE ABUSE IF THIS IS DONE TO HUMAN, I REPEAT HUMAN BABIES!! Funny thing is most people who are so radical about animal abuse are Pro Choice!! What gives? Why do we have a species of people in this world now that are so messed up in their minds????

  7. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE don't be fooled by H$U$!!!! They do not spend the MILLIONS they take in on animal shelters, they spend to lobby to change laws that effect and eventually eliminate all pet ownership. Donate directly to your local animal shelters if you really care about animal welfare and helping animals

  8. I use to love Ellen...but can no longer watch or support her. She obviously hasn't REALLY looked into the H$U$ and how their funding works...less than 1/2 of 1% of every donation they receive actually goes to helping animals. Check out their tax forms for 2009....you'll see they put more into payroll & pensions plans than they did in helping ANY local run Humane Society shelters that really could've used the help. H$U$ is a nonprofit that is hell bent on pursuing an agenda that will eliminate pet ownership as we know it...and they promote a vegan diet for ALL. Research folks - please...see where your money goes....maybe if Ellen did she'd rethink this horrible idea!
