Now the meat-scented candles are making a comeback, enabling people to salivate over the aroma of White Castle's cooked animal flesh, right in their own home and just in time for the holidays.
While most people's vision of holiday candles include scents such as Peppermint, Cider, or Pumpkin, White Castle's vice president of corporate communications Jamie Richardson stated, "The holidays are a perfect time for the candle to return because it's a different, fun, quirky gift for the ultimate Craver anywhere."
Nothing says "Happy Holidays" like receiving a fast-food scented candle. Yet, considering that one third of adults in America are chronically obese from said fast food, maybe it's the perfect gift after all.
I am not sure whether to be disturbed or bewildered that our nation's fast food obsession is so intense that people will actually buy candles to make their homes imitate the scent of a White Castle hamburger.
Scratch that, I'd actually lean towards disturbed.
