Phoenix Suns star Amar’e Stoudemire on vegan fast for playoff push

Phoenix Suns forward Amar’e Stoudemire is preparing for the final portion of the regular season by giving up meat during his down time. In an interview with the Arizona Republic Stoudemire explained, “I’m on a vegan fast right now."

He continues, "With my four days off, I'm really taking time off to purify my body, and get my body in top shape for these last 16-17 games. So right now, I'm on a vegan fast."

The 27-year-old All-Star has been on a tear of late, upping his season scoring average to 22.1 points per game and his rebound average up to 8.7 per game.

Just imagine the damage he could do to opposing teams if the vegan fast became a full time effort.
