Ted Nugent bestows school children with his vast knowledge of nature and politics

What do you get when you mix the Motor City Madman, a motivational speech and a captive Catholic high school audience? Timeless advice like global warming is a hoax, guns rock, hunting is a sport and of course watch Glenn Beck on Fox News.

Ted Nugent, former rocker and friend to all four legged creatures, was a special guest speaker at his granddaughter’s high school, Shrine Catholic Academy, in Royal Oak, MI.

Although he conveyed his usual stay away from drugs, alcohol and tobacco products message—which is very commendable—he couldn’t help but spew his usual right wing propaganda.

According to the Oakland Press, when one student asked for Nugent’s take on global warming, he responded, “Global warming is fraud. Watch Glenn Beck.” Now Uncle Ted isn’t a climatologist but apparently he plays one in high school gymnasiums.

Additionally, he might need to follow his own advice and actually watch Beck’s program. As Wendy Koch of the USA Today so aptly pointed out, everyone’s favorite CPAC hero actually acknowledges the existence of global warming.

And of course Mr. Nugent had to espouse his love for guns and hunting, expressing his belief that killing defenseless animals errr hunting is a sport.

This provides an ideal opportunity to recall Ted Nugent’s interview with Royal Flush Magazine in which he explained his reaction to animal rights and animal rights advocates like Bill Maher:

“I have unlimited deer tags in Michigan and Texas, and I don’t even need to kill them really, but I’m going to for Bill Maher. I’m not just killing them I’m f*cking slaughtering them and I’m going to gut them and skin them, quarter them and butcher them and feed them to the soup kitchen and homeless shelters of America. Not because I need to, because it will cause Bill Maher to sh*t blood. That’s my goal in life.”

Later stating, “I’m stymied to come up with anything funnier than people who think animals have rights. Just stick an arrow through their lungs.”

So the next time you consider having Ted Nugent speak to impressionable young adults, you might also make mental note of the kind words he had for Pam Anderson, included in the same interview.

“Pam, if you get the d*ck out of your mouth for 2 minutes, you’re telling me I can’t eat venison? You don’t authorize venison.”

Inspirational isn’t it?
