NBA superstar Gilbert Arenas hosted PETA’s fur-coat giveaway yesterday in Washington D.C. The event provides area homeless fur-coats that have been donated to the animal welfare organization’s "Fur Campaign."
This is not the first time Arenas has worked with PETA, in January he was featured in an ad that was part of the “Ink, Not Mink” promotion.
Arenas told the AP that he was happy to help PETA since he has “a lot of free” time on his hands.
The Washington Wizard guard is currently serving an indefinite suspension from the NBA stemming from a felony gun charge. The three-time NBA All-Star pleaded guilty to the charge and is awaiting sentencing later this month.
