Chicken wing shortage or not, this Super Bowl Sunday try vegan alternatives

The chicken wing shortage for this Super Bowl Sunday has been making headlines this year. Reports are emerging now saying that there is actually no shortage. Wing shortage or not, why not leave the fouls for the sport and leave the chickens alone. With so many outrageously delicious vegan alternatives, it's easy to do.

Gardein makes some awesome vegan food products that, paired with a dip on the side will have everyone wanting more and missing nada. One of my favorites is their Chipotle Lime Crispy Fingers. I've found that they go great with Isa Chandra Moscowitz' Green Goddess Garlic Dressing from her
book Appetite for Reduction.

Gardein's Crispy Fingers with this dressing for a dip are a match made in vegan heaven and perfect finger food for a Super Bowl party or any party any day of the week or time of the year. In this video you'll see how to make the dressing. You can find the recipe here.

I brought the crispy fingers and this dressing to a party once and people went nuts. Nobody cared that they were vegan because they were so good and some didn't know they were vegan. Good food is good food, we don't need to qualify it and say "that's good vegan food." No, it's just good food!

Gardein also makes vegan buffalo wings, crispy tenders and vegan sliders. You can find them in the frozen food section.
