Houston Texans star running back Arian Foster announced on twitter that he has switched to a vegan diet. Foster tweeted:

Officially a vegan now. We'll see how this goes. But week one down. So far, so good. Feels wonderful.”

Many fans have not taken kindly to his conscious decision to eat in an ethical way.  In response to Foster's tweet about never drinking (cows) milk, a follower responded:

“When you were a baby you did," Foster’s response, “my mom didn’t produce cow milk."

Foster followed up with the following tweet after receiving a plethora of negative remarks from followers, “People feel so strong about meat and milk. I wish they felt this strong about peace.”

Couldn’t have said it better myself Arian.

On the other hand, Foster has received many positive responses to his new lifestyle change.

One fan tweeted, “Arian, you have inspired me to go vegan, I hope I can do it. Gotta try to be healthier."

This type of statement isn’t the only of its kind, several other followers have jumped on board with the Texans star and been inspired to go vegan.

I’m loving the enlightenment shared by celebrities recently. With change, there is progress.
