Meet a vegan: Cara Lynne from Chickpea Magazine

Your name for all the world to see: Cara Lynne

Where you live: Rochester, New York

Why you went vegan: I always get stunned into silence whenever this question comes up in the wild! My short answer is "all the reasons," but I think primarily I went vegan because I felt that the environmental (and societal) impact of the animal industry was too much for me to justify being a part of.

Your favorite vegan meals to cook or nosh on: Mostly things that look like they took a ton of time but are actually super simple - like sushi or big stuffed burritos. Oh, and recently I found out that a local bar makes this sensational coconut bacon BLT...I'm drooling just thinking about it.

What do you do? I'm a photographer and do a lot of freelance, I have an online shop and sell at craft fairs, and I run Chickpea Magazine with my boyfriend Bob. (As you can see in the photo!) I'm always busy but I'd never go back to a 9-5 job again.

How can people contact you? You can get in touch with me at my blog or twitter, or my favorite, pinterest!
