Animal Place to host 2nd annual Music in the Meadows event

Animal Place, one of the largest and oldest animal sanctuaries in the nation, provides refuge to hundreds of neglected farm animals.  In addition to their permanent sanctuary located in Grass Valley, CA, they also have a Rescue Ranch, an adoption center that places needy farm animals in permanent homes.

Animal Place also strives to create meaningful change for farm animals through advocacy and education.   Thousands flock to the sanctuary each year for guided tours and education on the animals and farming.

Volunteer classes and internships are also available to introduce people to more intense ways of helping out.   They promote a vegan, cruelty-free lifestyle and their mission is simple - to extend compassion to all life!

Animal place is hosting their second annual Music in the Meadows, a fun, family-friendly event celebrating their rescued animals and the people who have turned their dreams of helping animals into a reality. There will be live music, exhibitors, delicious vegan food, a silent auction, as well as the opportunity to visit with the animals, all on their beautiful 600 acre property.

Music in the Meadows will take place on September 22, 2012 from 11am to 5pm at Animal Place, 17314 McCourtney Road, Grass Valley, CA 95949.

Tickets are $25 for adults and $12 for children 12 years old and under.
