Top 10 vegan food products

I come across many people who want to know my favorite vegan food products. Here's my Top 10 foods that are quick, easy, and make the transition to vegan eating delicious.

Daiya Vegan Cheese Shreds

I've mentioned Daiya before. What can I say, I love the stuff! It actually melts and tastes great. What's not to love? I use it on pizza, salads, queso dip and for grilled cheese. Plus, they're releasing block style Daiya soon. I can't wait to slice it up for sandwiches and make a vegan cheese plate at my next party. 

Field Roast Smoked Apple Sage Sausages

These are amazing! I try to keep some on hand for quick and easy dinners. They really come in handy when I want to show non-vegans just how awesome vegan food can be. I love serving these with mashed potatoes, cooked apples, and a side of sautéed cabbage for a hearty stick to your ribs meal. I'm also a huge fan of slicing them up and adding them to a breakfast skillet.

Dandies Vegan Marshmallows

Marshmallows were one of the things I missed most when I first went veg. Chicago Soydairy solved that problem. Dandies are the perfect treat. They're perfect in rice krispy treats, s'mores and hot chocolate. 

Field Roast Celebration Roast

This is the perfect solution to what to serve at your next holiday gathering. Just like Field Roast's sausages, the Celebration Roast is sure to please even non-vegans at your table. Slice it up and serve it with mushroom gravy and a side collard greens. 

Almond Milk

My favorite non-dairy milk is by far almond milk. The texture is creamy and thick and the flavor is amazing. I love it in smoothies, over cereal, and mixed into my pancake batter. 

Coconut Bliss Frozen Dessert

This is the best frozen dessert I've found. It's creamy, rich and comes in 14 tasty flavors and two bars. My favorite flavor is Chocolate Hazelnut Fudge, and I can't wait to try their new Ginger Cookie Caramel. Try bringing the Naked Coconut up to room tempuature, spreading it into a graham cracker crust and topping it with sweetened coconut. Pop this back in the freezer until solid and have an amazing and easy frozen coconut pie for dessert.

Boca Crumbles

This is another great product to keep on hand for quick and easy dinners. I use them in every thing from Tacos, to Chili, to Shepards Pie. Boca's website has a selection of other great recipes to use their crumbles in as well. 

Tofurky Deli Slices

Need a solution for lunches on the go? Tofurky Deli Slices are the answer. My personal favorite is the Oven Roasted Tofurky slices. They're perfect paired with sliced avocado, sliced tomato and sunflower sprouts on whole grain bread.

Rawtella Vegan Chocolate Hazelnut Spread

If you've got a sweet tooth like me, then you're going to love this spread. I melt it into hot chocolate and coffee, spread it on toast and drizzle it over fruit. Add a layer of it to the Frozen Coconut Pie I mentioned above and you'll be in dessert heaven!

Coconut Oil

I started using coconut oil for the first time when I picked up a copy of the Skinny Bitch Cookbook. I fell in love with its flavor and versatility. I find it to be the best oil for frying tofu, as it seems to allow the tofu to brown nicely but it also adds great flavor. I've also found it works really well as a replacement for shortening in my homemade tortilla recipe.
