'Healthy Voyager's Global Kitchen' cookbook takes us on a culinary journey

With the change of seasons comes a change in menus and if you’re anything like me, sometimes it’s a little hard to come up with something that inspires you to cook up a storm in the kitchen. Well look no further as your prayers may have been answered in the form of a soon to be published book, "The Healthy Voyager’s Global Kitchen Cookbook."

The author, Carolyn Scott-Hamilton -- nutritionist, chef and creator of the website healthyvoyager.com -- takes us on a culinary journey with 150 recipes from more than 20 countries around the world. From Africa to Vietnam, the beautifully photographed vegan fare is accompanied by information about each country, as well as fun facts and information for people who are following gluten free, raw, kosher, soy free, low fat or low glycemic diets. Being a Brit myself, I was delighted to see a chapter dedicated to my homeland and this weekend I will be tucking in to Toad in the Hole and Sticky Toffee Pudding, the veganized versions of my childhood favorites. Thanks Carolyn!

This book is a wonderful addition to any cook's bookshelf, and would make an ideal present for your favorite chef. Who knows, you might find yourself chowing down on something very different over the holidays!

Pre-order the book at Amazon.com.
