Vegan chef to host Jazzy Vegetarian Health and Entertainment Cruise

What could be more romantic than spending Valentine’s Day with the one you love on a cruise to the Caribbean? Well, nothing--except perhaps spending Valentine’s Day with the one you love on a cruise in the Caribbean, entertained by an award-winning jazz singer and being fed fabulous 100% vegan food the whole while!

Multi-talented jazz singer Laura Theodore is one of your hosts for the cruise, which takes place February 4-11, 2012 (after hurricane season!). The cruise takes you from Miami, Florida to the Eastern Caribbean courtesy of Norwegian Cruise Lines.

But Theodore will provide more than crooning as you sail the sapphire seas; already an established radio presence, she’s also a vegan chef whose new television series, The Jazzy Vegetarian, recently kicked off on public television across the U.S. and is set to run for 13 episodes (check local listings for stations, or see Theodore’s website). Her shows feature classic American cuisine cooked up entirely from plant-based ingredients. In addition to mouth-watering vegan cuisine, Theodore serves up a helping of jazz in each episode. Of course, she’ll also provide some entertainment during the cruise as well, along with a variety of cooking classes.

The cruise offers the opportunity to attend workshops with Dr. Pam Popper Ph.D., N.D., Executive Director of the Wellness Forum; Gene Baur, President and Co-founder of Farm Sanctuary; Robert Cheeke, Champion Vegan Bodybuilder, as well as other health and fitness specialists offering various workshops, seminars, exercise sessions, yoga, cooking classes, and other interactive activities. It’s an event that you—and your sweetheart—won’t want to miss.
