'Peas and Thank You' Cookbook: Some of the best reciPEAS you will ever come across

I started blogging about a year ago and when I was looking for other blogs to read, I happened upon Peas and Thank You one day. I was hooked from day one. Mama Pea is a mom to two adorable little girls and is on a mission to feed her family right. Her blog is full of humor, stories and some of the best reciPEAS you will ever come across.

When I was given the opportunity to review the Peas and Thank You cookbook by Sarah Matheny, I dove at it! The day it arrived on my door I was so excited, I sat down and read it almost cover to cover that night. Every recipe has a story to go with it and a picture as well.

One of the many things I love about this cookbook is that it uses simple, every day ingredients and the recipes are for meals that my family will enjoy eating time and time again.

The first recipe I tried was the Skinny Elvis sandwich (p.79). It is currently my three year old's favorite sandwich — he requests it almost every day.

Looking for the best salad dressing on the planet? Try the Cinnamon Vinaigrette (p. 126) So good, I wanted to make a dozen more salads just to have more of this dressing; I was half tempted to drink it, but I refrained.

Need a dessert? The Peanut Butter Blondies with Ganache (p. 233) have my name all over them. Peanut butter is the way to my heart Mama Pea, well done!! Or you can try one of her most famous reciPEAS of all time; Mama Pea's Dough Balls (p.245). The blogosphere nearly exploded last winter when she posted this on her blog.

Whether you are a vegetarian, vegan or a full fledged meat eater looking for some meatless meals; Peas and Thank You is the cookbook for you. There is something for everyone and you won't miss meat at all. With over 85 different reciPEAS, you are sure to have one very happy family making any one of them.
