Vegan pizza tour visits four NYC pizzerias during National Pizza Month

October is National Pizza Month, and here in New York City pizza loving vegans can celebrate by taking a vegan pizza tour led by NYC’s top pizza expert Scott Weiner of Scott’s Pizza Tours. Tour goers will go on a four hour pizzstravaganza that will visit four pizzerias in both Manhattan and Brooklyn, and sample various slices devoid of all animal products as well as learn about the culture, history and technology of pizza.

The tour, called Learning to Love Your Vegan, is on Saturday October 1st and will take off from Greenwich Village in a big yellow school bus.

Scott started the vegan pizza tour in honor of his vegan brother Jon, who will be visiting from Los Angeles and will be tagging along on the pizza adventure.

Since October is also National Breast Cancer Awareness, Scott will donate $1 to the Karen Mullen Breast Cancer Foundation for every person who takes a pizza tour in the month of October.

Vegan pizza and giving to a good cause – sounds like great way to start off the month of October!
