Chipotle pairs with Willie Nelson to promote sustainability

Recently Chipotle Mexican Grill teamed up with Willie Nelson to present a video promoting natural eating. The company is looking to raise awareness on factory farming in this animated piece featuring the song "The Scientist" by Coldplay and sung by Nelson himself.

In an effort to make their company greener, Chipotle has announced they will use 10 million pounds of local produce in their establishments.

Steve Ells, founder of Chipotle had this to say, “We produced this film to help illustrate the choices people face in deciding what to eat, and hope that it will encourage people to choose food that is raised with respect for the land, the animals, and the farmers that produce it".

Nelson, who is also president of the non-profit pro-family farm organization Farm Aid, jumped at the chance to work on this project.

The video's storyline follows a farmer that switches from factory farming to organic farming by freeing the animals and going back to nature.

The video titled "Back to the Start" is now shown in over 5,700 theaters across the U.S. The song is for sale on itunes for $.99 with $.60 of each purchase given to the foundation.
