‘Family Guy’ creator Seth MacFarlane teams up with organization to build sanctuary

Seth MacFarlane, the multi-talented creator of Fox’s popular animated series Family Guy, is using his star power and probably a little bit of cash to help the non-profit organization Heaven on Earth build a cage-free cat sanctuary.

The new no-kill sanctuary and adoption facility will be named Perry’s Place, after MacFarlane’s mother who lost her battle to cancer last year.

"MacFarlane's generosity will not only allow us to purchase and build a new sanctuary and adoption center, it will allow us to continue our lifesaving work as Perry's special legacy," said Heaven on Earth’s president Ritchie Geisel.

The organization is currently looking for donations to assist in the construction of the center.
