Vegan Mike Tyson admitted to International Boxing Hall of Fame

In his prime Mike Tyson was one of the most feared boxers of all time and for good reason. Now the man nicknamed “Iron” has been immortalized as a member of the International Boxing Hall of Fame.

"It's a little overwhelming," Tyson said during his induction speech Sunday. "You try to pretend it's not a big deal, but it is. I can't believe I'm here. It's something I always wanted."

Tyson amassed a 50-6 record including 44 KO’s over his 20-year career but the most impressive feat, to us anyway, was the new softer side the former heavyweight champion has showed the past couple of years.

From his initial Tweet that announced that his venture into veganism brought him great energy to appearing on a billboard in West Hollywood that reads “Love Animals Don’t Eat Them,” Iron Mike appears to be a changed man.

That change was quite apparent during the induction ceremony Sunday in Canastota, N.Y. when Tyson became emotional during his speech.

After only 2 minutes, the man who knocked out 12 opponents in the first round, had to cut his speech short concluding "Hey, guys, I can't find the words. Thank you."

Congratulations Mr. Tyson and continued vegan success.
