First annual VegFest Houston set for Saturday, June 11

Vegans in the Lone Star State, specifically in the Houston area, if you are looking for something to do this weekend pay close attention.

The Vegan Society of Peace will be hosting the first ever VegFest Houston this Saturday, June 11, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at Pecore Hall and the St. Stephens Campus.

Event admission is free—you can’t beat that price—and will feature some of Houston’s finest vegan restaurants, guest speakers, live bands, a Kids Zone, food demos, vegan vendors and services, product samples, educational films, community booths, green business and of course prize giveaways.

According to the VegFest page on the Vegan Society of Peace website, all booths have been filled with a waiting list, so it appears there will be plenty of interesting and fun things to learn, do and most importantly eat.

Okay the message of peace and compassion may be a bit more important than the food but delicious vegan fare is definitely a close second.
