Former 'Real Housewife' Dina Manzo rescues 6-week old disabled chihuahua

We all know Dina Manzo as the peace-loving housewife from The Real Housewives Of New Jersey series. It seems that Dina has even more positive attributes, as she recently adopted a 6-week-old Chihuahua called Gracie, who has no front legs.

Gracie was rescued by Faith's Hope from a Pennsylvania puppy mill. Faith's Hope is a dog rescue organization that specializes in the rescue and rehoming of severely disabled dogs.

"I was going to foster her, but I fell in love with her the minute I saw her," Manzo tells PEOPLE Pets at Project Ladybug's Ladies Night Out event she hosted May 25 to benefit children with cancer. "She's a licker. She licks everyone's face."

Weighing in at around 2lb, Gracie has recently been fitted with a small wheelchair from Eddie’s wheels, a fantastic company that makes wheelchairs for all kinds of animals, including goats, cats and rabbits.

Dina also has two cats and is the ambassador of Project Ladybug, Children’s cancer charity. We applaud people like Dina who are willing to help a suffering animal no matter how challenging the circumstances, and know Gracie will reward her well with a lifetime of love and loyalty.
