Selena Gomez decides pink horses in her new video not a good idea

According to E!News, plans to use pink painted horses in the video for the Selena Gomez song Love You Like a Love Song have been nixed.

Apparently the 18-year-old songstress was under the impression the pink coloring would be added post production, that was until she showed up on set and saw for herself that the horses were actually painted.

Ironically enough it was animal rights advocate and pop superstar Pink that first brought the situation to light via twitter.

If there are any animal activists around Malibu- at Leo Cabrillo State Beach, there are horses being painted for a stupid music video. Shame

Shame indeed!

Of course those responsible for the painting claim that no animals were harmed yada yada, and the paint was non-toxic vegetable based powder.

Maybe I’m out of the loop but how do pink horses tie into a song entitled “Love You Like a Love Song” anyway?

Hm I dunno if you find it necessary to use horses why not enlist the naturally colored variety, why do they have to be painted?

Regardless, E!News will give Gomez fans a first look at the new video June 22, sans pink horses of course.
