Fans will be smiling to learn that one of the best-known all-natural personal care product companies, Tom’s of Maine, is teaming up with one of today’s best-known rocker gals, Sheryl Crow, to “bring back natural beauty” by helping to make Crow’s current “100 Miles from Memphis Tour,” which kicked off May 7, more earth-friendly. The partnership also marks the company’s launch of their new product, “Simply White” toothpaste.
By helping to reduce the carbon dioxide emissions and waste, helping the crew to recycle, providing biodiesel fuel for buses and trucks, providing organic catering and hospitality services, supplying eco-friendly cleaning products, and helping neutralize the tour’s carbon footprint, Tom’s—as well as Reverb, the music industry’s leading environmental organization--will work with Crow to attain her goal of doing her part to keep the world healthy. Crow was the perfect fit for the company, they say, because she “is an American icon who shares our passion for the environment and healthy living.” They also arranged a live chat between Crow and her fans during her tour on May 19.
The new toothpaste promises no bleaching agents, no animal testing, no artificial colors or preservatives, plus full disclosure of all their ingredients and the purpose of each one. This particular toothpaste does contain fluoride, however, so it may not be for everyone.
