Television personality Giuliana Rancic becoming vegan ‘one step at a time’

E! News co-host Giuliana Rancic is slowly but surely removing animal products from her diet thanks to talk show guest extraordinaire and vegan author Kathy Freston.

In an interview with Stylebistro, the Italian born beauty explained how the Veganist has helped steer her down the path of plant-based foods. Yes she appears to be a bit confused on who actually wrote the book (Cathy Friedman=Kathy Freston + Rory Freedman?) but regardless of mixing up authors names the results are the same.

I don't eat processed foods if I can avoid them. I'm trying to become vegan one step at a time, so I've cut out red meat. Animal products wreak all kinds of havoc on your body, I've learned. I just read a book called Veganist, by Cathy Friedman. It's such a great book, and it's so true, about how all these diseased are brought on by animal-based diets. So I've tried to cut that out and we'll see where that takes me.

Considering Rancic is a style guru—I mean she is a member of the Fashion Police—going vegan makes total sense. Improved skin, easier weight control, reduced risk of just about every disease imaginable not to mention an increased incidence of compassion.

Let’s keep our fingers crossed that she doesn’t eventually spurn the vegan lifestyle due to health reasons.
