Thank you for saving Nevada's 'Adopt a Rescue Pet'

Adopt a Rescue Pet, one of Nevada’s largest animal rescue organizations, shelters many older or hard to place breeds of dogs. Annually they help close to 1,300 dogs through adoption or through a home on their five acre dog sanctuary. But this may have all come to an end, if generous donors were not able to raise the last $15,000 of their $70,000 balloon payment within the last five days.

Faced with a last minute shortage the call went out to help save this organization and the response was great. Tommy Rocker, a local Las Vegas entertainer held a fundraiser at his Mojave Beach Bar & Grill that brought in much needed donations. With local community help and fundraisers, the sanctuary will remain a home and placement service for many lucky dogs.

ARP was founded in 2000 as a nonprofit animal welfare organization. They have rescued and placed over 13,000 animals. Pets are sterilized, vaccinated, and micro-chipped and adoptions are held every weekend at the Best of the West PetSmart.
