Gwyneth Paltrow talks about her daughter being vegetarian

While promoting her new cookbook, My Father’s Daughter, Gwyneth Paltrow stopped by Chelsea Handler’s show where she spoke about her daughter being a vegetarian.

"She's totally vegetarian," said the Country Strong star and Glee regular. "She came to it on her own. Sometimes I can get her to eat a little fish or something, but almost never.”

When asked by Handler how Apple came to be a vegetarian, Paltrow replied, “I don’t know. She was like, ‘I don’t like that,’ if I tried to give her a little chicken or a little turkey meatball, she would spit it out when she was little. She just doesn’t like it. She’s never liked it.”

It seems like the six-year-old, with the very fitting name, is on the right path.

My Father’s Daughter features a collection of 150 healthy recipes—many of which are vegetarian or vegan. Recipes include fried rice with kale and scallions, blueberry muffins, and Bruce’s dip (made with Vegenaise and inspired by her father, the late Bruce Paltrow).

This fall, the 38-year-old actress returns to the big screen alongside Matt Damon, Kate Winslet, Jude Law, and Laurence Fishburne in the upcoming film Contagion.
