Sheryl Crow's new cookbook includes vegan friendly recipes

Popular musician Sheryl Crow has just released a new cookbook, entitled If It Makes You Healthy, a spin on her popular single, entitled "If It Makes You Happy."

The cookbook is co-written with Chuck White, Crow's personal chef, whom she affectionately calls "Chef Chuck." Crow met Chef Chuck during her battle with cancer, and he taught her how to eat seasonal, locally-grown and nutrient-rich foods that helped her overcome her diagnosis.

The cookbook features seasonal dishes that are simple, nutritious, and delicious. It offers five specifically vegan recipes by name (including a vegan reuben and its corresponding 1000 Island dressing), but because of the book's focus on seasonal vegetables and produce, it also includes many dishes that are already vegan and others that can easily be transformed with one or two alterations to the ingredients.
