Yahoo! teams up with Purina for 'Dog and Cat Answers'

Share |

Yahoo! Answers has teamed up with Purina, launching a website to turn to when facing pet woes.

The new website, “Dog and Cat Answers,” features user-asked questions, videos, polls, pictures, special offers, and much more that are all sectioned into two parts, “Dogs” and “Cats.”

While Yahoo! Answers is known for its user-submitted advice, Dog and Cat Answers is also featuring a new section dubbed, “expert advice.”

For instance, a veterinarian working with Purina, Dr. Larry McDaniel, also helps answer questions that Yahoo! users ask under the "Featured Knowledge Partner" section.

On his profile, Dr. Larry McDaniel states, “My interests included training and behavior issues. These issues were very important to me because so many pets end up being given up for adoption due to behavior related problems. With proper socialization, basic obedience training and good nutrition our dogs and cats can grow up to lead long and healthy lives. I invite your questions on these topics and look forward to providing insightful and interesting answers.”
