Vegan blog sponsors Little League Baseball team

Back when I was playing Little League Baseball—what seems like a million years ago— a plethora of companies sponsored our local teams from marketing firms to car dealerships to restaurants. I couldn’t even imagine how folks from my little town and the surrounding communities would have reacted to a message promoting veganism being plastered on uniforms of the young and impressionable.

Well it appears society has come a long way.

The Informed Vegan, a blog that covers news, music and activism, recently announced that they are sponsoring a Little League Baseball team in Kennewick, Wash.

I’m happy to announce that The Informed Vegan blog is a proud sponsor of a Kennewick National baseball team which bears our site’s name.

The Informed Vegan little league team is about to kick off their season with the possibility of going head to head with teams like Dairy Queen and Tyson Fresh Meats.

Wouldn’t you just love to see Tyson Fresh Meats get trounced by The Informed Vegans? How poetic.
