Wynonna Judd named spokesperson for NSALA's 2011 national adoption tour

North Shore Animal League America (NSALA) has announced that country music superstar Wynonna Judd will serve as the national spokesperson for the organization’s 2011 Tour For Life. During the tour, two mobile adoption units will travel across the U.S., covering over 13,000 miles, in an effort to reinforce the importance of adopting pets through local animal shelters.

"My pets have always been a very important part of my life," explained Judd. "They are loyal, non-judgmental and offer unconditional love. Being the spokesperson for Tour For Life gives me an opportunity to encourage other Americans to share the same happiness."

The singer continued, "When considering a new family member, please stop by a local shelter and rescue a homeless pet, they will be eternally grateful to you for saving their life."

The Tour For Life was started 11 years ago and is credited with placing hundreds of thousands of shelter animals in loving homes.
