New vegetarian cookbook reveals recipes of popular Detroit area restaurant

As a chef, George Vutetakis went out on a limb when he created the healthy and plant-based menu at Inn Season Cafe almost 30 years ago. The vegetarian and vegan cafe, located just outside of Detroit, Mich. is still around and thriving today, thanks to Vutetakis' passion for healthy, flavorful food.

Vutekais now offers a cookbook that essentially bares all - he offers details for the favorite recipes and dishes that he created and served while a chef at the restaurant. Each recipe includes the story behind the recipe as well as other food lore that coincides with the dishes he shares and loves. Vegetarian Traditions: Favorite Recipes From My Years at the Legendary Inn Season Cafe can be found on Amazon.com, at Inn Season Cafe, and on Vutekais' website.

Vutetakis traveled quite a bit during his tenure at Inn Season Cafe, especially to Greece and India. This influenced the dishes he created and helped him to offer a well-rounded menu with flavorful and delicious meals. He used spices and techniques not often found in common American dining, offering his guests a truly remarkable experience.

The cookbook offers more than 150 vegan dishes on 200 pages. A picture is featured on each full-color page, and the instructions are easy to follow and well-explained. The cookbook is available for $29.99 in a hardbound format.
