What's with the half-eaten hamburger picture, you say?
This week marks one year of me being vegan. Becoming vegan transformed my life and I cannot wrap my head around the fact that I ever lived any differently. I can think of few decisions in my life that have impacted me as positively as this one. To celebrate I stopped at Boulder, Colorado's VG Burgers. I treated myself to a "bacon cheeseburger" that BLEW MY MIND, french fries and chocolate soft serve hemp ice cream. It's a good thing I don't live in Boulder or else, I'd likely be 10 pounds heavier and my pockets much lighter.
VG Burgers uses local and organic ingredients and is Colorado’s only entirely vegan restaurant. From their “bacon cheeseburgers” to their to-go boxes and cups, no animals or any part of the environment were harmed in the process. All of their to-go ware is 100% compostable and the restaurant is 100% wind-powered. To top it off, all of their kitchen food waste goes to a local animal sanctuary.
