'Miracle Man: 100 Days with Oliver' a story of companionship and hope

In this beautifully constructed tale of friendship, love, and loss, Robert B. Haas not only highlights the miraculous spirit of his beloved canine companion, but also the miracles that occur within our own lives when we learn to trust as freely and love as fiercely as our animal brethren.

Miracle Man: 100 Days with Oliver is a voyage of hope and second chances for celebrated aerial photographer, Haas, who is faced with the imminent loss of Oliver, a fourteen-year-old, nearly blind mixed breed who tumbles down an embankment and suffers paralysis of his rear legs. At the bedside of his much-loved friend, Haas pleads for 100 more days together, which begins an at times arduous journey of recovery for both Oliver and Haas.

At once a sad reminder of the impermanence of all relationships and circumstances, as well as an uplifting account of self-discovery and renewal, Haas offers an honest portrayal of his complex life and the dog who helped him navigate his path.

Miracle Man will resonate with anyone who has loved and lost, urging us to live each moment to the fullest—just as our animal companions do. It is a must read for animal lovers and anyone who has suffered through hard times and made it through to the other side.
