Christy Robinson creates jewelry to spread the animal rights message

Our words can send a very a powerful message sometimes directly and sometimes indirectly. How we choose to convey that message is what can be even more profound then actually speaking any words at all because what we write down comes directly from out heart.

One person speaking from her heart is Christy Robinson who uses her jewelry to spread the message about animal rights and awareness. “My inspiration comes from my lifelong love of animals and the Earth,” says Robinson who herself was inspired to go vegetarian and then later vegan after watching an undercover video on slaughterhouses. She is a long time animal rights advocate and jewelry designer behind the fashionable jewelry line that’s hard to resist.

Robinson has over 16 years of experience working in the jewelry industry. She is environmentally conscious when it comes to the metals she uses for her jewelry and tries to use primarily recycled aluminum, sterling silver, copper, brass and 14k gold. Each piece she creates is unique to its owner because of the traditional jewelry techniques she uses. Her pieces are strong and will last for years.

“I strive to create hip jewelry that is cruelty-free and environmentally conscious as well," says Robinson. "I would also like to spread the message of these sometimes "heavy" topics yet my challenge is do so in a happy and playful way."

When you purchase one of Robinson’s necklaces you’re not only getting a great piece of jewelry to add to your collection, you’re also speaking up for animal rights in a sophisticated way. She supports several charities such as the Farm Sanctuary, United Poultry Concerns, Vegan Outreach, and Sea Shepherd by donating a portion of the proceeds from the purchased products.

Although all of the necklaces are beautiful in their own right, I have to mention the pitbull necklace she created because I’m an owner of that breed. The necklace features an adorable pitbull with the words, “Lover not a fighter.” Forty percent of the proceeds from the sale of this particular necklace will be go to benefit the Linda Blair World Heart Foundation.

"When I see someone wearing my jewelry, I love it!" says Robinson.  "I am always deeply honored and a bit shocked and surprised! Yet I am so happy that my jewelry is being enjoyed and loved! Who could ask for more!"
