Compassion Over Killing (COK), a Washington D.C.-based nonprofit animal advocacy organization founded in 1995, is opening a new office in Los Angeles, California. To celebrate this exciting news, COK will be hosting an office launch party on March 12 where supporters will be treated to vegan fare while learning more about the organization's local campaigns.

Staff will be on hand including COK’s Executive Director Erica Meier, Campaigns Director Christina Tacoronti, and COK-L.A.’s new Outreach Director Jaya Bhumitra—who writes for This Dish Is Veg in her spare time.

The event, which also serves as a fundraiser, is open to everyone. For more information or to RSVP, visit COK’s website.
