Kathy Freston reveals how she went from fur wearing model to bestselling vegan author

In a recent interview in Vanity Fair, Kathy Freston reveals what spurred her onto a vegan journey, her love of pleather and the one time she lapsed and ate fish.

“Once. I missed a tuna-fish sandwich with mayo on toasted wheat bread more than anything. Six months after I went vegan, I snuck into a deli and took one home. And, of course, it wasn’t nearly as good as I fantasized. It tasted, well, fishy,” said Freston.

The interviewer, John Heilpern (like me raised on an English diet of meat and two veg!) begins the article skeptical of a plant based lunch but has a revelation of his own when Kathy’s influence makes him decide to stop eating all meat.
