Burger King wants its customers to get ‘stuffed’

Burger King must be feeling a bit jealous of the attention KFC continues to receive for constantly pushing the fast food envelope with new items like the Double Down and the Doublicious. While a certain competitor that features a clown as its spokesperson pleases its audience by bringing back old favorites like the McRib. If only the King had a new groundbreaking product so steeped in grease, saturated fat and sodium that even his most capable adversaries would run and hide behind the Golden Arches, but what could it be?

The answer to Burger King’s conundrum could be the restaurant chain’s newest menu addition, the Jalapeño & Cheddar BK STUFFED STEAKHOUSE™ burger:
This premium sandwich packs a flavorful punch of robust ingredients with bits of jalapeño peppers and Cheddar cheese inside the juicy flame-broiled burger that’s topped off with creamy poblano sauce, ripe tomatoes and crisp lettuce on a premium bakery bun. The Jalapeño & Cheddar BK STUFFED STEAKHOUSE™ burger is available for a limited time only at participating BURGER KING® restaurants nationwide at a suggested retail price of $3.99.

Don’t you love when assembly line establishments that produce food by the millions of pounds use terms like “premium?” Or how about quality…

“Our guests have expressed their love for our quality burgers, and we know that they enjoy the bold combination of spicy and cheesy in a big way,” said Jonathan Muhtar, vice president, global product marketing and innovation, Burger King Corp. “With our first ever stuffed sandwich, we’re giving our guests what they want – juicy 100-percent beef infused with jalapeños and Cheddar for an experience you can see and taste in every bite.”

You know high quality ingredients like factory farmed cow and factory farmed milk used to make factory farmed cheese. Yes indeed true artisans.

As far as nutritional information I could not locate the low down on this new stuffed burger but by way of comparison let’s take a look at the non-stuffed Steakhouse XT version.

That bad boy has 770 calories, 46g fat, 17g saturated fat, 115mg cholesterol and good God 1380mg sodium.

I think I see more specially equipped ambulances in our near future.
