Paul Sorvino’s daughter helps uncover New Jersey horse slaughter

Amanda Sorvino (daughter of Goodfellas actor Paul Sorvino), along with the non-profit organization Guardians of Rescue announced yesterday that they intend to put a stop to the horrific conditions that horses are subjected to at a New Jersey exotic animal feed supplier.

With a philosophy of ‘Our only goal is satisfied customers,’ Bravo Packing Plant in Salem County starves horses to provide lean meat for exotic carnivores throughout America. Lean meat is more expensive than regular horse meat according to Ms. Sorvino’s web page. When Sorvino found out about Bravo, she went undercover at the operation to reveal their barbaric practices, which include multiple acts of torture and abuse; she also managed to rescue some of the horses.

“Beyond the issue of abuse, at least one of the horses was infected with a serious bacterial infection,” said Sorvino.

“The horses were emaciated and some violently abused, all living in unspeakable conditions,” said Robert Misseri, president of Guardians of Rescue.

Video footage and audio evidence has been handed over to the Prosecutor’s office in Salem.
