Heather Mills to hit slopes as member of British Disabled Ski Team

Restaurateur and recently published vegan cookbook author Heather Mills has taken another step in realizing her goal of competing in the 2014 Paralympic Games in Russia.

“I’m in the British Disabled Ski Team, I found out about six weeks ago and I’m very excited,” Mills told the Daily Express.

According to Mills, no members are on the actual Paralympic Team until three months prior to the games but making the squad has its privileges. Apparently since the vegan wonder woman made the British Disabled Ski Team she gets a trial for an entire year.

And having a celebrity on the team appears to have its perks.

"We get on really well. I managed to get some sponsorship to help with equipment because they are unfunded so they're very happy,” Mills explained.

The 42-year-old former glamour model is definitely not new to athletic competition.  In 2007 she took part in Dancing with the Stars and earlier this year she strapped on her vegan skates on Britain's Dancing on Ice.
