Vegetarian designer Stella McCartney launches redesigned website

Stella McCartney, stylish fashion designer and lifetime vegetarian, launched her re-designed website today: www.stellamccartney.com.

The website's new look is designed after McCartney's own characteristic classic and modern style. The homepage highlights drawings by artist Barry Reigate, which emulate the delicate and clean fashion presented on the other pages.

The website offers the viewer more opportunities to shop the designer's collection. Features include "Stella's Picks", "What's New" and "Shop By Look," and the reader can sign in to save these looks into a portfolio for instant purchase or further perusing.

"Private Wardrobing" is a service that personalizes the online shopping experience. Similar to the service offered in stores, a representative contacts the buyer to discuss future wardrobe purchases. To allow even more flexibility (and no shipping prices!), "Reserve in Store" is a service in which the buyer can reserve any number of items online to later buy them in a chosen store.

An inside look into McCartney's personal life is now available for the buyer as well. Features such as "Stella's World", "What's News" and "Stories" all share pieces of McCartney's philosophies and experiences as well updates on the brand and tips for an environmentally-friendly lifestyle.

An iPad application related to the website will also be offered soon.
