Robin Quivers to launch vegan cooking program ‘Vegucating Robin’

Radio personality and vegan Robin Quivers may have recently completed her first ever New York City Marathon, but she isn’t quite finished conquering new frontiers—for her anyway. Now the 58-year-old Howard Stern Show co-host, who nearly burnt her house down in an attempt to boil water, is bravely venturing back into the kitchen on her new cooking program entitled “Vegucating Robin.”

“After becoming a vegan four years ago, I have gotten to the point where I was tired of eating the same things all of the time, and I really didn't have very many cooking skills,” said Quivers. "So I figured there are a lot of people in the same position that I am, so let's do a cooking show.”

Quivers, who credits her vegan diet with “radically transforming” her health and helping her shed nearly 80 pounds, will be joined and instructed by Chef Gavan Murphy, aka “The Healthy Irishman.”  Murphy underwent his own health transformation after he discovered the benefits of natural, seasonal and local food while attending cooking school.

And apparently Murphy’s teaching skills are quite effective.

While learning how to prepare vegetables that she has “never had to deal with before” Quivers says, “I didn't know cooking could be so much fun.”

If that fun translates well on the camera the show should be a can’t miss. Because aren’t we vegans always clamoring for a plant-based cooking show?
